Thank you for signing up to support the Green Party plan for a London Renters Union.
- Rents in London have gone up 11 percent since 2012, while average pay has risen just 1 percent
- The end of a tenancy is now the leading cause of homelessness in London, accounting for four out of 10 cases
But, with a Green Mayor, all of London’s 950,000 private-renting households – home to 2.3 million people – will automatically be eligible to join the London Renters Union.
The union would be funded by but independent of City Hall, would build on the great work of renters already organising around the city, and would be a real voice for private renters like me. Please spread the word about the idea and help make it happen!
You will receive a confirmation email from us shortly. If you don’t receive an email, please check in your spam folder just in case.
We have an exciting campaign ahead and I look forward to working hard on this idea – whether I’m Mayor or a member of the London Assembly – to help London’s private renters help themselves.
Thanks again,
Sian Berry
